Surface Honing is a process achieved by the use of a non acidic, light abrasive compound or a buffing pad with a specific diamond grit fused into it. This process is typically used to remove light scratches or etching from floors, walls and counter tops. Honed surfaces have a more dull and matt appearance that is especially desirable where glare poses be a problem. Honed surfaces are known to hide traffic patterns and wear over a longer period of time versus a highly polished surface.
